Its a vicious cycle, Christmas comes Christmas goes, New Year arrives and New Year goes. We are back in our natural state but heads are still spinning wondering if this year is going to just be a repeat! We all want to change in some way be it physically, emotionally, romantically, financially or just something new to come into our lives to spark a touch of adventure or help us feel alive!
Resolutions! We feel these are what will fill the void, ameliorate life and make us the person we desire to be. We make them and we break them. If you really want to change you will. But I will be the first person to say it’s not bloody easy! It’s a true struggle! But just like you I really want to give myself small achievable goals to achieve something by the end of the year and just like you, I KNOW I can do it! I also know myself a bit too well and sticking to something isn’t my nature. I like my comfort zone, I like to drink, I like to eat, I like to watch TV and that’s about it 😂 That’s why this year I am making a change to my New Year resolutions, I am keeping them small, simple and doable. Besides that, I also have a proven hack!
Before I reveal my amazing secret, some New Years Resolution tips to stick to your goals and that work for me are:
- Keep your goals small and achievable such as I aim to write for one hour every day instead of “I am going to write a novel this year”.
- When it comes to exercise, instead of joining a GYM, just keep it small and simple byt doing say, 35 squats/lunges a day. Have some small 5kg weights at home where you can aim to do 10 lifts a day. Again keeping it small and simple.
- Keep a journal and refer to it before you go to bed to see where you are in achieving your goals and write some more.
- Drawing is the best way to manifest. If visualising isn’t your thing for manifestation, drawing works. You dont have to be a fabulous sketcher you just need to draw what you wish to come to fruition.
- Create a Plan: Develop a clear plan of action to achieve your resolution. Set deadlines and create a schedule to help you stay on track. Having a plan will provide structure and direction.
- Celebrate Your Success! Celebrate your achievements along the way. Reward yourself when you reach significant milestones or complete your resolutions. Recognizing your hard work will boost your motivation and keep you inspired.
- Stay Flexible. Life is dynamic, and circumstances may change. Be adaptable and willing to adjust your goals if needed. If you encounter obstacles, find alternative ways to progress rather than abandoning your resolutions altogether.
If you stick to simple effective resolution strategies you will be sure to see results. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Setting achievable goals for the New Year is the only way forward. Building healthy habits in the New Year into your daily life and slowly cutting out the old ones will form new habits.
Remember to remain consistent. Set a phone alarm to remind yourself to take 10 minutes to meditate, to read a few pages of a good book, work on your new project or side hussle makes all the difference. Just 10 minutes a day will lead up to one hour a week or one hour a day will lead to 5 hours a week, assuming you are going to just do 5 days a week. Give yourself a break on weekends to have your downtime, cheat day or whatever.
So… Are you dying to know what my amazing hack is..?
Well. as a qualified hypnotherapist hypnosis is the key to helping you to achieve nearly anything you want. It’s my go-to when I want to get motivation back for finishing a project or making a change.
The way it works is that hypnosis speaks directly to your subconscious mind and if you use it every day your subconscious mind begins to work for you on autopilot to guide you in the right direction to find different ways of doing the things you do every day that will eventually lead you towards your goal. You won’t even be aware and the beauty is you can listen to hypnosis while you sleep!
I have recorded a special powerful hypnosis for helping to keep New Year’s resolutions and achieve anything you want in life. Download it below and see for yourself. Let me know how you get on!
Best Of luck and Happy New Year!
